The Challenge

Global Logistics Co managed complex supply chains across 40+ countries with limited visibility into shipment status and frequent delays. Manual payment processing created cash flow issues, and route optimization was done reactively rather than proactively. They needed a system that could provide real-time tracking, automate payments, and predict issues before they occurred.

The Solution

We integrated IoT sensors on shipping containers that transmit location, temperature, and condition data to blockchain smart contracts. Each shipment event is immutably recorded on-chain, creating a tamper-proof audit trail. AI models analyze historical data, weather patterns, and traffic conditions to predict delays and optimize routes in real-time. Smart contracts automatically release payments when delivery is verified via IoT sensors, eliminating manual invoicing delays.

Results

ChainLink Supply reduced shipping costs by 23% through optimized routing and reduced delays. On-time delivery improved from 87% to 98.5%. Payment processing time decreased from 30 days to instant upon delivery verification, improving cash flow by $12M annually. The system tracked 500K+ shipments with 100% data integrity and zero disputes.
